For all those that still need collector's editions, EB is selling a few online. I would suggest getting it there if your local store is flaking. I ordered mine from the website this afternoon (because my previous vendor pushed back my CE preorder shipping date again), and about 4 hours later, it was shipped.

Angry AAAARRRRGGGHHHH! Now the T-Shirt is holding back Gamestop/EB orders FARTHER!

So I check my Gamestop order, hoping to see it shipped (the CE, of course), as it is now past 24 hours of when they said it would ship and... wait! The shirt is back ordered, which was going to be packaged WITH my game. So Gamestop/EB's "free gift because we ----ed up" ends up delaying the CE more.

EDIT: PLEASE prove me wrong and find something that says they ship seperately...

I picked my CE in-store today, I asked the guy if they had any T-shirts, he goes "yeah, I took it...we only got one" ........maybe that's because only one person preordered a CE....and that was ME!!!

My CE and preorder kit already shipped, but my order page doesnt say anything about a tshirt. However I got an email saying that I would be getting a tshirt anyway, So im thinking it already shipped with it...

EB and Gamestop are the same place, so either one of those, ordering online from them is a good bet right now. I'd suggest overnight shipipng or two day shipping if you're absolutely dying for it. Mine processed Wed and sent out yesterday, got it today. Well, the 5th anyway since its after midnight. I pre-ordered but it looks like a safe bet to do it SOON though, in a day or two, since they are LIMITED.

thats ok u think u have bad luck i preorder through eb games the ce edition the first day u could pre order which was a long time ago my receipt said ce and they ordered me the reg version . when i pointed this out to them they took the game back and said now i have to wait a hella long time i was so pissed and wanted to play i bought the game and still have a ce edition comming lol. i prolly won t get it for like mnths but i will never buy from eb games again

After a week of calling EBGames, finally being promised Friday morning that the CE was coming and they would be able to fulfill my preorder of 4 copies... then "oh wait, Saturday" and then "Oh, wait, Monday..."

.... called Best Buy. Lo and behold, that had FOUR on hand (with tons and tons and tons of T-shirts for sale with game for the price of $0.01)! I rushed over, purchased, and now have four CEs, waiting to receive the love of my brother (two accounts), my mate, and myself! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Best Buy, I will forever love you.
EB Games... go to heck.

As of May 6, the Best Buy in the 94533/34/35 zip code had 2 copies of the CE on the shelf. I fondled one, but put it back because I couldn't justify buying it when I already have the regular edition.

I got mine Friday! T-shirt and all! T-shirt is pretty lame though. Just says Guild Wars Factions. Thought it would at least have a picture of something on it.

I was one of the first few to show off the dances in towns...but now everyone has them....10 people in every district with the new dances....at least I get dragon pet!....wonder how much I'll be able to get for him....

It was my first time buying a game from EB, first time preordering any game, and first time I got the collector's edition of any game. If I knew EB did this sort of stuff, I wouldn't have gotten it from them.

Anyways, I would've never worn a game t-shirt anyways. Just too "geeky" for me . I guess I would've just kept it as a collector's item.

Exclamation Another CE Factions Rant ---Another Supplier's Failure!!

I dont know about you all, but from day one i have enjoyed Guild Wars, and have continued to love it since my late experience of the Guild Wars: Factions Headstart event, available to all preorder customers. GW remains a fun everchanging game.

My complaint is with Gamestop Service. My supposed Pre-Order of the Collectors Edition for Factions was supposed to come in on Friday, May 5, 2006. I was told this on 3 seperate occasions from the store that i placed my preorder at. I did not want to order online, as shipping could have been the holdup that would begrudge me. So i opted to order in store. The promised date has come and gone. I am told they do not get shipments over the weekend, so now i am forced to wait an additional 2-3 days?! I was given a specific date, and it became a false pretense. Gamestop should NOT promise dates if they cannot keep them. I do not care if they try and blame NCsoft for "delaying" shipment or release, since if this were the case, Gamestop had NO right to promise a date. I was not told of any reimbersment for waiting, nor was i apologized to for this shortcoming from Gamestop. I mean, COME ON, even Anet has presented a form of apology for the wait of the Factions CE. So my supposed "Pre-Order" has given me nothing in return; a wasted investment, and a waste of my time and patience. For shame, this will be my last and only ever purchase from EB or Gamestop, thanks for the horrible service and contact.

Sure, there have been plenty of complaint threads already, but this is just a highlight from someone who has NOT seen even ONE post that puts Gamestop or EB in a good light. Not one praise of service nor positive remark concerning services surrouding Factions and Factions CE releases. Why you ask? In my opinion, it is because of typical marketing. They promise what they cannot deliver. They throw out dates of releases, in store sell dates, etc, yet none of which come to pass. If the supplying company does not promise the retailer with a date to begin with, then the retailer SHOULD NOT and has NO business advertising release dates to the public. They are governed by product supply, their own access to supply, which if it is not known to themselves, then issues are obvious. I have had 3 past purchases from this company, and each time have had struggles such as this. Again, this is a rant about retailer responsibility and specifically the failure of Gamestop in my experience...

What do you think? Have you seen ONE positive remark concerning Gamestop or EB surroudning the Factions CE release? Have you EVER had a good experience with this company? Let me know your thoughts on the matter. Have you grown tired of reading all that i have written? Then sorry. /endrant.

(P.S. Anyone know when the 10 day grace period officially ends? or even started for that matter?)

i hate you clarianaeneas. I hate you with a passion. I pre-ordered the CE long long long ago. I was promised it on a specific date. the very day you got yours. Firday, May 5, 2006. i hate you.

They promised it to me 3 serperate times before may 5, and called me the day before may 5 to tell me it was on its way. it is 2 days later i dont have it. i hate Gamestop/Eb. Here is my rant...

I've already posted in several of the other threads regarding how I'm in the same boat with EB (who I late found appearently bought out Gamespot a while back). My friends in SE Massachusetts picked up their copy of CE on friday.

I called EBgames the day before Factions was out.
I was at EBgames the day Factions came out.
I called EBgames the day after factions came out.
I called 3 days after factions came out.
I called EBgames 5days after the game came out.
I went to EBgames again 7 days after it came out.
I called AGAIN 8 days out.
Today was the 9th day.

Until the call after the game had already been out 3 days they kept telling me "I'm not sure why we don't have it but I'm sure we'll have it tomorrow." Ever since then they continue to say "Yes it was delayed. I'm emailing my district manager regarding the delay right now, should have it tomorrow."

Completely rediculous to me that every time I call I heard TOMORROW and it never happens. Also rediculous that they say they're going to call me as soon as they have it, but never once did they take the initiative to call me to tell me it was delayed. If they don't have it tomorrow I'm calling the district manager myself and I'm just going to give him an earful. I'm tired of being treated like the fact I gave them my money already means nothing and that they have no control here. The fact that it was in Gamestop of SE Massachusetts 3 days ago and I still haven't heard anything regarding my copy is unacceptable to me. They should at least have a general idea of whether they have one in stock for me, in route for me, or if there are additional delays I should know about.

As I've stated before, I'm done with EBgames at this point. I was a long time customer, I remember when there was no such thing as EBgames and they were just called Electronics Boutique. However, in recent years they have just grown into another bloated corporation with little concern for their individual buyers, too afraid to mention the word delay for fear that people would cancel orders, rather then treating me like crap and losing me as a customer entirely.
